Easy Trail Hike 0.3 Miles from Days Inn Campton

Blair Woodlands Natural Area Trail:

This very easy, mostly flat, totally shaded, and beautiful hike begins from a parking lot 0.2 miles south of the yellow flashing light on Rte 3 just past the Red Sleigh A-frame on the left side of the road.

Walk 30 minutes round trip total on two connecting circular paths covered in very soft pine needles through dense forests with only about a 15 ft change in elevation (very easy terrain) with several benches along the trail to rest and enjoy the forest and a back woods pond.

For those who dress in a bathing suit and sneakers/flip-flops, there is a nice spot to swim in the Pemi River overlooking the Blair covered bridge. This is a great place also to just sit and relax during the hot part of the day or perhaps during a stroll after an early dinner.

Enjoy notices along the trail that point out wild, specialty plants, which you can read about at the trailhead kiosk in the parking area.
